Ray Cobb United States Army

February 1969 I was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam era.  I was awarded my MOS as a news photographer.  After basic I was sent to Fort McClellan Alabama as the only military photographer on base.  It was there in August of 69 I was exposed to Agent Orange in a mock Vietnam village named Tiger Land.

It was later when I was 48 I developed diabetes.  I started my journey in 1994 to receive my military disabilities for diabetes caused by Agent Orange.  I became the second person with exposure to Agent Orange in the United States in 2005 and was granted a 20% disability for diabetes.  I reached my 100% level in 2017.

During this time, I started a radio show to help veterans understand the VA system.  The show has now been on for more than ten years and is on WZYX radio in Cowan, Tennessee.  This station can be found on the web where you can listen to previous shows.

I received my rating of R2 and Level 2 in the Caregiver program in October of 2023.  This is the highest disability rating a veteran can receive.  I will continue a roadmap for veterans to win their claims although there will be many curves and left or right turns due to changes in the VA claims division.  We will always use the 38CFR codes to assist veterans in winning claims.
